# Archer

1. **What is an Archer?**
   * Archer is a first Job that a Novice can be promoted to upon reaching level 5.
   * A ranged attack specialist who uses a bow, the Archer's appearance varies depending on the Novice’s original form, appearing as either male or female.

2. **Skills**

   * Upon promotion to Archer, you gain access to new Skills:
     * Double Strafe
     * Arrow Shower
     * Improved Concentration
     * Owl’s Eye

3. **Promotion**
   * When an Archer reaches level 30, they can be promoted to either [Hunter](/characters/job/archer/hunter.md) or [Dancer](/characters/job/archer/dancer.md).
