# Swordsman

1. **What is a Swordsman?**
   * A melee combat specialist with a powerful physique, this is a first job promotion available when a Novice reaches level 5.
   * Depending on the Novice's prior appearance, the Character can take on either a male or female form.

2. **Skills**

   * When the Character is promoted to the Job of Swordsman, new Skills become available:
     * Bash
     * Magnum Break
     * Increased HP Regeneration
     * Endure

3. **Promotion**
   * When the Swordsman reaches Level 30, they can be promoted to either [Knight](/characters/job/swordsman/knight.md) or [Crusader](/characters/job/swordsman/crusader.md).
