# Thief

1. **What is a Thief?**
   * A specialist in swift and deadly attacks, the Thief is a first Job promotion available once a Novice reaches level 5.
   * Depending on the previous appearance of the Novice, the Thief can appear as either male or female.

2. **Skills**

   * When the Character is promoted to the Job of Thief, new Skills become available:
     * Double Attack
     * Sightless Mind
     * Increase LUK
     * Envenom

3. **Promotion**
   * When a Thief reaches level 30, they can be promoted to either [Assassin](/characters/job/thief/assassin.md) or [Rogue](/characters/job/thief/rogue.md).
